A total of 2243 farmers are benefiting from the ongoing Food Security project. These farmers were supplied with farming tools, vegetables seed, rice seeds, goats, sheep, ducks, 10 rice mills and 10 cassava graters among many others to increase their production and improve diet and livelihood. Besides the agricultural activities, the Food Security phase ll is also engage in feeder roads and drainage maintenance and rehabilitation/construction of bridges. The rehabilitation of some of these roads like Porluma, a 34km feeder road has aided farmers from 23 surrounding communities with a population of 12000 access to markets and clinics.
