Following a successful implementation of the ECHO Food Security project in Lofa County, in July 2007, in which 3200 farmers benefited, again the European Commission and Humanitarian aid has given another chance to ADRA Liberia to implement phase ll in the same two districts, Foya and Kolahun as target areas.

Give Children A Chance
|

Give Children a Chance’ is a health project implemented by ADRA Liberia. Specifically, the project is being implemented in Foya and kolahun Districts, Lofa County. The overall objective of the project is to reduce maternal child mortality. The nine month project, which started on the 1st of March ends the 30th of November, 2008, and expects to benefit 163 communities of thirty-nine thousand (39,000) people in the two districts mentioned above. Indeed, this worthy project is funded by the kind people of Denmark.

School Feeding Project

ADRA is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political organization registered with the Government of Liberia. It has agreed to cooperate with WFP as a Collaborating Partner in Liberia by providing services for monitoring of distributions of the targeted schools under the school feeding program in Grand Bassa and Rivercess Counties.

Functional Adult Literacy Project

2023 adults and adolescent are benefiting from the FAL program currently run by ADRA Liberia in 51 communities in Foya and Kolahun districts in Lofa County. For successful implementation, 102 community facilitators were trained in FAL related topics and capacitated to effectively facilitate the literacy program in the English language under the direct supervision of our Community Workers.

The ADRA Grant Fund Project abbreviated as AGFP is a new project that is being funded by ADRA Headquarters in the United States of America. The AGFP which is similar to the DRIP project aims at educating adults and creating sustainability by involving them into agricultural activities.
